Using SAMR in Yearbook

I had originally been scheduled to teach Multimedia this year but ended up only doing Yearbook.  I modified the plan that we used in our summer class in order to complete the project with my Yearbook students!

Lesson Title: Student Yearbook Template

Project (5 days)

Objective/Learning Target: TLW use a

student created storyboard to format the

flow of the 2014-2015 yearbook.

Essential Quality Questioning:

How does yours differ from a peer?

How is yours the same as a peer?

What would facilitate our goal as a

yearbook group?

Academic Vocabulary:

Bloom's Level:

Learning Activities: Students will use

storyboards that they have created to

formulate the flow of the new

yearbook. Students have looked at

examples to decide on a template tat best

shows how to display the required pages

within our theme. Students will use two

different technology components to share

their template online with peers, parents

and students.

Assessment/Homework: Storyboard due

today at the beginning of the period for

daily grade. Two projects (both worth

50%) due on Friday for a major grade.

I have attached all the items used in this project, as well as a link to a students completed project.
